One film is set in space; NASA’s most popular orbital meal is freeze-dried shrimp cocktail, but alas, NASA doesn’t deliver. Hors d’oeuvres to accompany “12 Years a Slave,” the early AIDS drama “Dallas Buyers Club,” or the Somali hijacking nail-biter “Captain Phillips”? Insensitive. “The Wolf of Wall Street” offers up a variety of ingestibles – many illegal. We give up. What is Wolfgang Puck, celebrating his 20th year catering the post-Oscars Governors Ball, serving to his 1,500 VIPs? For appetizers, Bolognese-stuffed rice balls, mini-burgers with aged cheddar and remoulade, spicy tuna tartare in a sesame miso cone, salmon on flatbread shaped like Oscar statuettes and topped with caviar, and taro root and avocado tacos for the vegan guests.
